Sorry

by Anne Moore   Aug 30, 2019

Angry blood flows
From a hypocrite
who judges others too harshly

Thin red lines
edged in blue
lay upon her legs
created by metal

Guilty Blood flows
from a murder
who killed her own mother

Thick scarlet wounds
edged in violet
lay upon her thighs
created by steel

Worthless blood flows
from a nobody
who wants it all to end

Crimson carvings
edged in brown
lay upon places no one sees
created by Blades

She can't undo what's been done
She's sorry
She never believed anyone really cared
She's sorry
She's sorry

As dark as your poetry is, it is certainly brimful of imagery and that's to be applauded. Well done.
