Dramatic Explosion

And she whispered-

Dare I walk around
glass as harsh as
your accusations?

Should I fail,
allow me to embrace
the failure without
your sharp tongue
pushing me off the edge.

And I whispered-

I never broke the vase
but continue to clean
the remains of your soul-
I love you-
forgive me.

Damn it Andrea I'm gutted. I know the back story from this and I know where all parties involved are coming from. Dont beat yourself up over fears and the past hauntings. We can only hope for the best....stay strong my friend-

Being graceful when under fire is the hardest challenge to master and my interpretation of this is someone trying so hard not to throw back accusations when they've been hurt, which I can relate to a lot. I love how you've emphasised that these things are said in a whisper which always adds to that passive-aggressive situation and can add more impact than shouting. The metaphorical broken glass vase which holds a soul speaks volumes about the state of this relationship. The pain is almost palpable and the poetry is pure emotion. :-) x
