By My Eye

by Hope   Nov 15, 2019

It's said by a simple man,
it is what it is;
lighting every word on fire,
lead me on with a broken heart,
you'll see the veins in my wrist lead straight down the path,
it all leads to ashes,
time ticks to the beat of my pulse;
watching every fall in the season go by,
breakaway,
time ticks at the corner of my eye,
I've bled in the dusk,
it's all by the rust in my veins,
I'll be good as I'm lain in the darkness,
time comes as bittersweet for every moment passing me by;
a bittersweet goodbye,
hands let go in a broken moment, far away,
a farewell falling to the wasteland,
my back turned for the heart attack,
we all say goodbye in the dark,
open wounds reveal the weakness in me,
ashes rust my veins,
I don't want the world;
crying for the meek,
a sad song sung in the last word,
what is to be believed as we are blind in the dark?
every word sheds the truth,
by my eye;
we all fall down a broken path of ashes,
so chase me to the wind,
release me.

      I meant "me" not "my."

      Thanks for noticing the mistake.
