The Path We Make

When I close my eyes it's you I see
Your image burnt deep in my mind
And I feel you close right next to me
As you're never too hard to find

I see you smile as your eyes are lit
With that expression written on your face
The arrow you fire my heart just hit
Now beating at such a pace

As you move closer your warmth I feel
Which radiates from your skin
And your soft touch confirms it's real
As I can't help but let you in

Now in my heart where you reside
And forever are here to stay
When once our love it would hide
So we could meet on that day

My promise forever to be with you
For which my heart will always beat
As no one else would possibly do
For our love it can't compete
