From The Other Side (The message of a martyred soldier)

by ddavidd   Dec 16, 2019

You run upon the lavas of all your fears,
though
instead of being deliquescing,
you soar over them,
ramming against death with an etching head
like there's nothing
chaining you to the gravity of living.

Your body leaps over every barrier:
boulders and ramps are no more,
ground abruptly has no substance:
an absolute void of the crudity of objects,
even air’s defiance,
nothing but pure oxygen!

And asudden you realize
you’ve also jumped over death
You leave behind your life
but you keep on going running
waking up from this nightmare.
you even recognize what you’ve left behind was a dreadful dream,
the endless spectrum of fears.

You feel sad for those who you left behind.
You recognize
the fear of death was a scarecrow.

you see behind the mirrors

^^ typo? Did you mean “and suddenly”?
Did you mean, “you keep on going, on running, on waking up from this nightmare? “

Thanks for sharing the link. I googled it but I didn’t get anything other than “sudden.” Never mind on my first comment. Glad to see you posting again.
