Let Down your Armor

by Glenn G   Dec 21, 2019

My sweet love.
With the outer armor.
I'm asking you to put down your weapons.
Give your armor a much needed break.
Take a chance that we will work.
And our life will not cause your heart to ache.
Let's not waste another year.
With unhappiness and tears.
If you will be my damsel, I will be your knight.
Maybe for once, just once things will go right.
We can woller some more in sadness.
Keep going on these paths of our own.
Or say the hell with, let's make us a home.

Well said, Glenn. Time and love are both too precious to be wasted with swords drawn and armour adorned!
