Pandemic Blues

by Larry Chamberlin   Mar 23, 2020

Goin’ to the drug store, get me some Tylenol
going to Walgreens babe, get me some Tylenol
ain’t gonna sink in those pandemic blues and all

Coughed at the counter and got me the evil eye
yeah coughed in the store and got me the evil eye
“boy clear outta here, before you make us all die”

Wouldn’t let me get that Tylenol anyway
they wouldn’t sell me no medicine anyway
I’ve got to stay home in bed with fever all day

Don’t gimme no coronavirus no more y’all
don’t want no coronavirus no more y’all
the coughs ‘n’ aches and that burnin makin me bawl

Love this Larry! So very true and if anyone has allergies, talk about evil looks if you sneeze!

Love the blues! I feel like your poems are always unique in the personality you give them, and some humor and wit, in often difficult times.
