I Will Love You Until The Day I Die

by Glenn G   Jun 9, 2020

Wherever you are I hope you are happy
When we stop seeing one another
There was a part of me that died
No other could every replace you
Nor can it be revived
I never thought I could ever fall so in love
But how could I not
You were fun and funny
You smile was so contagious
You had the energy of a runaway train
While being spontaneous and daring
Your face seemed to beautiful to be real
Your eyes lit with an intense heat for life
I know as I lie here all alone
There will never be another you
I will never forget you
And, I will love you until the day I take my last breath
You will never be lonely because my memory will never let go of you.
I'm destined to end my life alone
But that's ok, I was destined to begin my life with you
I can still taste your lips
Smell your perfume
I know what you would say if you were here
I love you.

what a heart breaking poem. So much love and so much sorrow. There is no loss as painful as that of losing the love of your life. Everything loses its meaning and days become like long hours of torture. You have expressed yourself so openly in this poem that it touched the core of my heart.

These lines stood best for me and moved me:

I'm destined to end my life alone
But that's ok, I was destined to begin my life with you
