You know what I know

by William Mae   Jun 12, 2020

The sum of all we’ll ever be,
Charted by the line of time,
Finds salt in only memories,
By those on earth we find.

A pausing heart across the world,
To stand and then to ponder,
The connection felt so far away,
Brings a smile and soul to ponder.

Thanks for being who you are,
For the smiles you give so free,
Thanks for being who you are’
And the smiles you give to me.

Life is tested by time and space,
And the years and distance mingles,
Love will rise inside a heart,
To make soft lips hum jingle’s.

So in the stillness of the night,
Where the heart is never blind,
Thoughts cross oceans searching out,
Another heart that pines.

It's strange how 2 people in two different worlds and across the ocean meet through words only and form a connection. Understanding, thoughts and feelings seem to bond and a beautiful bond/friendship is formed. I love the write, the thoughts and feelings expressed simply yet with sentiments....keep penning
