What If We Joined

by William Mae   Sep 9, 2022

If we were pollen to float upon air,
Joined in the evenings breeze,
Mix and to mingle clinging there tight,
We’d drift where ever we please.

If we were rain to fall in the spring,
Given life to flavor the season,
We’d find a stream to join our drops,
Lending our existence reason.

What if a whirlwind lifted us up,
From fields where our flowers had bloomed,
Joining us where our petals entwined,
Giving us our own little room.

If in a world where darkness had rule,
We found two lights in each other,
We let our lights join in a instant of bliss,
We never would search for another.

You have no idea what a smile this poem put on my face...just to read your work after a very long time!
There are lots of what ifs and yearnings which I understand..
Each verse has vivid imagery to cling on...keep penning!
