Ours

This was the weekly
"we can have a cup of coffee
together" morning.
So you and I
on the balcony, kissed, and
took a break from
the noise of the world,
to listen to each other's eyes.

My cup is still sitting there
on the table, I notice, it
isn't half empty,
it's half full of sunshine.

    This made me smile! I love little gems like this, moments that can be forgotten or with the chaos of the world, brushed aside. Everyone deserves this peace, this break from everything for at least a few minutes. Neat spin on the "glass half empty, half full" in the last two lines, and I'm happy you found that bliss <3

    “Listen to each other’s eyes” this line hit home for me and made my smile. My wife and I have been together for thirteen years and this sounds like a perfect Saturday morning to me.
