Brand New Day

by Sierra Rae   Jul 13, 2004

She's 18
and out with her friends
They go party at a bar
3 sheets to the wind
her ex-boyfriend comes
and takes her home
she doesn't know what she's doing
she's supposed to be alone
he took the advantage
And *forgot* the protection
She was all his now
But he was doing it out of affection

A month later
She's completely in shock
The doctor tells her she's pregnant
And she can't stand to walk.
She tells her parents
And they say go back to him
She has to stay with this man now
Her life is getting grim

2 years later
she sits at home
feeding the baby
she's all alone
he walks in the door
she can tell he's drunk
he tries to kiss her
and she calls him a skunk
an arm flies
and she falls to the floor
he takes the baby
and calls her a wh0re

living in filth
it has to end
she can't stand any more
so she calls up a friend
makes the arrangements
for her to take the baby
when her husband comes home
he quickly is flaming

he kicks her around
and grabs the knife
he slices her wrists
saying she's a useless wife
she runs to the bedroom
and grabs the gun
he follows behind her
she says *bye bye Hun*
a loud boom
and he falls to the floor
then she calls 911
and heads for the door

she lets it all out
stops holding in the tears
her friend brings the baby
but has so many fears

the young girl takes her child
everything will be okay
because tomorrow
will be a brand new day.
