Open Fire

In life there is training
With the paths that we make
And with certain choices
There are years to undertake

We all start with school
Then to university
Time devoted to study
Before our careers we will see

While some jobs are more risky
And the training is hands on
You'll learn to save yourself
Before this path you walk upon

To be a fire fighter
There is a lot you have to learn
And dress in fire proof fiber
So that your skin will not burn

To be a deep-sea diver
There's a wet-suit that you wear
To protect you from the pressure
And breathe when there's no air

To be a fighter pilot
You will pack a parachute
And this is what will save you
When the enemy starts to shoot

Although it makes me wonder
Why with love we're never taught
When our hearts which are at risk
And yet the training is all naught

Nor there is no armour
So with your heart it can protect
And once your heart is broken
It will become your biggest threat

We seem to be all blind
Just with love we'll risk it all
Our most important body organ
And yet we build no wall
