Harvest Moon

by Maple Tree   Oct 6, 2020

Scattered thoughts
lay exposed under
a light
near a tree
in the backyard
of Shawnee.

I've become a squirrel -
harvesting emotions
for winter; because
winter has no shame
for a flower girl like me.

Love the use ofmetaphor and the personification of winter in the second stanza, Maple. Excellent.

Hope you are well and all the best as ever,
    Ben
