Consequence

Whatever you do just take time to heal
Just please don't react to what you now feel
Try to act brave and just walk away
Don't ruin your whole life with one single day

To the man in the pub who had a few drinks
You cannot blame alcohol that you didn't think
When you became angry, threw a punch to a head
Because of you a father and a husband is dead

To the young teen who's out with his mates
He just got his licence and drives a V8
Of course he's speeding but then his brakes slam
He managed to miss her but did not her pram

To the couple so long have been only friends
She thought she could trust him and always depend
Until she cried NO and couldn't prevent
But this is just rape without her consent

To the lonely girl who's a misfit at school
She has not one friend and everyone's cruel
You insulted her so much and laughed when she cried
Now your conscious is guilty with her suicide

This easily avoided if we would just pause
And think of the consequence our actions might cause
It's too much to gamble when playing with fate
Because once you react it's often too late
