The Poems Behind The Poets; (XV11)

by Scott Cole   Nov 18, 2020

<The Garden Ghost>

Her caffeinated shadow
Stirs the tranquil nights,
Once swathes of nothingness
Now a kindling of sight.

For come soul searching
Or November frost,
The trauma she aches
Is for the forgotten lost.

Like ripples across the ocean
There's but seasons of survival,
For when water freezes hearts will melt
As mute moons fall to their rivals.

Growing old in the arms of nature
Or escaping gravity settles no score,
I dream to know my future unknown
For there's no place for flowers in war.
