Rendezvous With A Stereotypical Stranger

by Matthew Anthony   Jan 17, 2021

Rendezvous with a stereotypical stranger
hats off to you sir, wearing and tearing, BC to AD question belief though you try to deceive
It's Christ from Arcadia, the son of the saviour
the child of the braver, sent in hindsight.

Sip from the poised, take one step back
leading you down the domestic track
Scroll down your soul dear preacher
make it taste sweeter than peaches and cream.

Polished off wrinkles, dusted with sprinkles
rehearsed man made scenes we dream
of societies trickled down streams
two distant lands bonded in beds

We doze to the symphonied folk
and choke on our coke with fortified e's
come witness your grail, spent on betrayal
whilst sailing through nails hammered by thought anchored now wankered yet pampered by chalk
defined by the demons that poach when you walk.
