Picture This

Bristles caress canvas,
unloading their vibrant content
in grand sweeps of intent,
confidently building layer upon layer,
hue upon hue,
coaxing the scene into existence
from blank absence.

Colours merge and separate,
teasing the senses with whirls and splashes,
lines of love depicting
inner images recalled, remembered,
poured from the soul
to create absolute
perfection…

Like Michael, I too have watched Bob Ross recently! Anyway, I can picture this and it - like the poem itself - is a joy. Lovely work, Cassie.

I've been watching Bob Ross during this lockdown. Reading this and watching Bob make me want to create a snowy scene, full of brooding sky, tall evergreens and a wood cabin with it fire burning.
