Come With Me: Atop The Hill

by Everlasting   Mar 25, 2021

Do come and watch the sun with me
It won’t take long
Just come along

There is a hill atop the sea
That waits for us
Don’t make a fuss

I know you’ll like the greenish grass
Amidst your toes
As wind do goes

Thus say the word and come at last

Thus grab my hand and tag along

You’ll see some boats
You’ll see some goats

You’ll hear a shepherd sing a song
Of love just found
Of love profound

You’ll see the tides that rise and fall
As seagulls fly
As clouds up high
Observe me seeing you above all

I haven't seen a poem like this before. Is it your own unique format, or is it a specific poem that I haven't heard of? Likely the latter option, lol.
So I gather the rhyme scheme goes:
ABB, ACC, DEE, DG,HH,G,II,JKKJ. . . I think :) I might have entirely muddled the rhyme up -a very real possibility!
I like the context, it's relaxing, actually! I love the last stanza the most and also the third.
There's a lovely calming feel to this and I really enjoyed it.

      You are good!

The form is call Amphion. The rhyme scheme is abbaccdeed.

I wrote two of those. But I separated the lines to help with the flow.
