Winter (Double Haiku)

by Jack   Apr 6, 2021

Winter

It falls down weightless,
It is as white as could be,
Now it's time to fight.

We throw snowballs hard,
We get hit multiple times,
Until the game stops.

Perfect syllable count. I've always liked chain haikus, so I enjoyed this one. I got to the last line of the first haiku and became ridiculously confused - much to my embarrassment - then laughed at myself as I read the last haiku.
Would you call it a haiku though? Haikus tend to be entirely nature based, senryus are more . . . Human based.
Either way, I liked it :)
