I just don't understand it

How can our leaders make pledges
And we all promise to do our bit
Yet one nation will defy logic
And the world just lets it sit

We will go to war in the beat of a heart
And will call it a war against terror
Yet our total world is threatened
And I don't think it will get much better

None of us trust politician speak
For we know it's jargon and it's lies
But the actions of one country
Make me bloody terrified
