Hands of Freedom

by Sherry Caayupan   Jun 23, 2021

Unchained hands rest down as the near plains,
For this soul shall rest in surrender;
To love's unvanishing charms relayed,
In a vast sea of ever forever;

Deep into this restless world,
I shall swim to find abounding freedom;
Search for every life of the swirls,
And taste for every hope to come;

I shall welcome night's rest,
For the day shines on me brightly;
Even in the night shall I grin in holiness,
For freedom is sacred undyingly;

I shall fly high to the sky,
My wings shall never tire;
Neither will they say ever goodbye,
To the wind's beckoning flight;

Free into the lurking places shall I be bound,
For I shall find pieces of wholeness;
I shall combine them into one,
A whole freedom of uttermost completeness;

Undyingly I shall wake up,
In the earliest morning of morrows;
And find myself lifting up,
By elevation of a bright good tomorrow.
