Bubbles

by Obscure   Dec 30, 2021

The urge to lie face down in a bathtub
Bubbles drifting past my ears
What does it matter what comes after
If I can't even face my fears?

I feel as if I could fill the ocean
But for some reason I can't cry
I don't understand life any more
And I shouldn't waste time to try

The water is so warm and inviting
And as heavy as I feel
So I'll lay face down in the bathtub
While I try to decide what is real
