Death, in a sense

by Obscure   Jan 3, 2022

Death tastes sweet.
Sugar coated lies
Are much sweeter
From your lips

He smells like home.
I am so homesick
And so lost
In my own head

He looks lovely.
And I've begun
To crave an ending
Of my own

He sounds kind.
Like unkept promises
Finally coming true
And I'm fading

He feels warm.
Like a true love
Wrapping me in comfort
While I slip away

Now Death is here,
Reaching for my ghost
And I follow him
Into the next life
