A Flower In Winter (nice version)

by CJ Maleney   Jan 20, 2022

Shall I compare you to a winters day?
Before the beauty of the snow does melt away?

Because

You are the beauty of light refracted,
As winter sun shines so bright.
All the colours merging,
through pure and crystal ice.

I've never seen such beauty,
within this thing that I've called life,
and if I die today or tomorrow,
I will never feel its like.

You are the breath that I can see in this wonder.
You are the frost upon the leaves.
You are the the only thing that can freeze this heart,
and are as refreshing as the breeze.

So shall I compare you to a winters day?
I could but I don't think that I can.
Because when I feel down and unworthy,
your heart will always warm this man.

Your eyes light up my heart and soul.
You make everything I do seem worth the price.
When I am at my lowest point sometimes,
you make everything seem warm and safe and nice.

As snowrops die and Bluebells rise,
as the world bursts into flower.
Know I would fight through walls of thorns,
and I would climb that ivory tower.

I know sometimes I'm foolish and rash,
I'll admit, for it is a simple fact so true,
but you are like the jigsaws that you create,
And I am a piece that's part of you.

Yeah I know I lost the narrative towards the end.

Don't care as I didn't write it for the site of for acclaim.

I wrote it for the one I love. Yes she loves jigsaws and stuff. Good luck with
