Blindfolded

Blindfolded

If only the world
could feel itself
blindfolded
and know how
we are all
really molded

Then
we could open our eyes
to its genuine beauty
unfolded
without imagined enemies
borders
fears and ghosts
where good reason
was lost

Thus
we could inhale the fragrance
of all the flowers
without the odor
of gun powder
void of the hate
that devours
discovering
of love the powers

Hence
Blindfolded
from the very start
we would learn
to see with the heart
