But the hurt feels similar, not quite the same.
Your heart’s been wronged in the past
And mine only beats the sound of your name.
I wish that things could be different;
I wish the universe had aligned us a chance.
But we are both so deeply rooted in the fear,
I don’t think I could hold your eyes’ glance.
