Do you ever wonder
Or maybe suppose
If you changed your past
From so long ago

What would become
Of your new timeline
Do you imagine your life
On a higher incline?

Would work be better
With a different career
The job that you dreamed of
From yesteryear?

Or maybe your lover
The one you'd admire
If you would go back
To ignite that fire

And what of your home
Would this also change?
Becoming a mansion
On some mountain range?

We should maybe consider
And search for a light
Rather than relying
Just with hindsight

We are who we are
Because of our past
But the futures not written
And still is so vast

All of our dreams
In here they'll remain
And when moving forward
It's where we should aim
