Love Is Blind 2:

by Scott Cole   Jan 5, 2023

No, I don't need these eyeballs
The Good Lord has given me,
Because vision isn't necessary
For my heart to fall for thee.

In a World where pupils rule
Eyesight reigns supreme,
So we seek out visibility
To feed our self-esteem.

For visuality soothes our outlook
Sorely eyes are not desired,
So images of admiration
Stimulate our brain to be inspired.

If we see it then we think it
If we think it then we believe,
That love is but a perception
Those smitten glances we conceive.

But sex appeal has no appearance
For true love is born blind,
So eyesight has no advantage
Since it's not visually defined.

So seek out that what comforts
Your Soul and not your sight,
For passing time withers beauty
But devoted hearts always delight.

Beautiful message. Seek what comforts the soul, not the eyes. True love is blind, and based on emotional and spiritual connection, not physical attraction. 10/10
