The lepers

After so many years,
Living in the colony of lepers.
The boy's father moved the two of them away.
Finally, they were cleansed of the stench of that leper colony.
As he grew older the boy contacted the lepers by Facebook.
And, the stench of the lepers returned.
The boy naively thinking he could cure them.
But their sores once again attached themselves to the boy and his dad.
Though the stench was heavy, and the sores burned, his father forgave the boy.
All he said was, "Why".
