I sit in darkness my body trembling in fear.
as i listen to the screams of my mother so near.
Something breaks as it hits the floor.
my body trembles in fear
as i hear footsteps at my door.
I hear the door open and my name
bellowed out.
oh please god don't let him find me
not here...not now!'
The closet door opens and I'm jerked to my feet,
blood trickles down my face,
as he begins to hit me.
I scream out in pain as welts begin appear.
I beg him to stop but all he does is laugh
God how I despise him, my hate my fear.
My mother I saw stumble into the room.
her face bloodied from his love
please leave him be take my instead she cried as she fell to the floor.
I am lost to oblivion as the final hit comes...
I wake in a place I know all too well
i sit half conscious in a hospital bed
My brother sits across the room tears in his eyes.
new tears find mine as i hear what is said.
To hell with that bastard!' i cried
our mother was dead.
