Let me Cry

I want to cry
Please let me do that
My heart is heavy
I can’t stop falling

You don’t want to hold me
You don’t want to lighten this grief
Please let me cry
And try to forget it all

You don’t want to wipe these tears
You say you can’t
Then let me cry
And get rid of this pain

First I felt bad for hiding my feelings
Now I struggle to hide these tears
Please let me cry
I need to try smile

You didn’t want me to weep
Nor you made me happy
Please let me cry
And wipe these memories

Now I do want to weep
But tears have dried up forever
Help me cry
Or just let me die

I lived for you
But you didn’t want me so
Please let me die
Before I forget to live

    Great poem, Trincy! I loved it all...but especially the turn you took in the next to last stanza... where you go from crying to forgetting how to cry. That happens so often!
