Heart to Heart Conversation

by charbel   Jul 5, 2026

I sat alone with my heart
On a table round
I saw him sad and silent
Without making a sound

I asked him why he’s bleeding
Why the wounds run deep
Why he keeps on breaking
When all I want is sleep

He kept silent, beating weakly
I could feel his shame
I saw his blood spreading
Like whispers of your name

Heart to heart conversation
Tell me where it hurts
Show me all the places
Hidden under words

Heart to heart conversation
I am sitting with the pain
Counting every scar inside you
Trying to understand again

For a moment I understood
And tried to touch his hand
But he turned away from me
Like I could never understand

He was shaking like a flower
In a windy day of winter
Painted with his scars
And covered with splinters

I did not know what to do
I was shocked and locked inside
I wanted tears to help me
But even tears would hide

Heart to heart conversation
Tell me where it hurts
Show me all the places
Hidden under words

Heart to heart conversation
I am sitting with the pain
Counting every scar inside you
Trying to understand again

Life said, “Do something, brother,
You cannot leave him there.”
But all I saw were pieces
Falling through the air

Count the broken pieces
Count the lines life drew
On the warm walls of his body
Where the old pain grew

Heart to heart conversation
Tell me what to save
Tell me how to hold you
When you’re trembling in the grave

Heart to heart conversation
Piece by piece we fall
But I am still beside you
Trying to gather all

Piece by piece I feel it
Hit the ground and fall
Shattering in silence
Still I hear it all
