Tell the Angels

Where is my love?
Where is the love?
Living in my heart,
Deep inside my heart.

The ice walls melt around me,
Waterfalls drift through my body,
Your distance burns my eyes,
And tear by tear, they drop.

Each drop has a story,
The story of my burning heart.
It burns like candlelight,
So you may live.

Tell the angels
About my love.
Tell the silence
What I’m dreaming of.

The candle burns,
But I still feel cold.
Tell the angels
What I cannot hold.

I have no light anymore,
So my eyes consume my blood.
My body walks away
To the land of dreams.

Where I can see you,
Where I can hold you,
Where I can sleep inside your arms,
And never wake alone.

Your pillow, your notes,
Your words and your voice,
Echo in my room
Like a song without a choice.

Tell the angels
About my love.
Tell the silence
What I’m dreaming of.

The candle burns,
But I still feel cold.
Tell the angels
What I cannot hold.

And when you close your eyes again,
A vein of warm blood
Drops from your mouth
Till it reaches mine.

Then you drink the tears back,
Bitter like knives,
And silence, silence, silence
Comes carrying three lives.

One comes with a word
That forms your name and light.
One comes with a picture
That draws your eyes at night.

And the last one comes with a book
To sign my slow goodbye,
While the story goes on
When the sun climbs the sky.

Tell the angels
About my love.
Tell the heavens
What I’m made of.

The candle burns,
But I still feel cold.
Tell the angels
I still cannot let go.

Drowning in the blue sea
Of every tear I hide,
Holding your picture
Like a lantern in the night.

Holding you inside my heart,
So I can take you with me
In my afterlife.
