Emotionally Tied

by Walter   Sep 17, 2026

I thought I was alone and getting used to this cold
I thought I'd stay this way, while slowly growing old
I convinced myself that love was always meant to fail
I convinced my heart I hoped that it would prevail

Time might be a cure and lead you down a bend
Time will stop for no one, even at the end
Here at this crossroad, new faces seem to pass
Here at this moment, our hearts are made of glass

Suddenly we pause, where road rules do not flow
Suddenly a spark will seem to make it glow
Shadows are behind us, we do not turn around
Shadows disappearing, as the sun goes down

Pausing for your smile, the glint is in our eyes
Pausing for your picture, painted in the skies
Discovering emotions, our senses cannot count
Discovering our feelings, where once we both had doubt

Because love is a passion, it doesn't end with one
Because we learn to walk again, and then we yearn to run
Heartbreak is the shadow, depending where you look
Heartbreak always tries to lure you with a hook

Learn to follow love, let bygones be the past
Learn to fall in love and don't compare your last
Every bond is different, but needs a fresh new start
Every time we fall in love... it should be with your heart
