Echoes of an Unraveling Mind

by The Fallen Angel   Oct 14, 2026

Yesterday bleeds through the cracks of my sanity,
Whispering secrets that unravel reality.
The walls have ears, and the mirrors have eyes,
I hear the truth in a thousand lies.

Delusional dreams dance inside my head,
Conversations with ghosts who were never dead.
I reach for the shadows that call out my name,
Each one a memory, each one a flame.

Despair sits beside me, dressed up as fate,
Smiling like someone who knows I can’t escape.
Distress twists the clock; the seconds decay,
And yesterday poisons the remnants of today.

I’m distant from faces, from voices, from touch,
Yet the silence around me is screaming too much.
I speak to the void; it responds in my tone,
A stranger’s familiar voice calling me home.

Who am I when the lights disappear?
The monster I fear, or the ghost that I hear?
I question the truth till the truth starts to bend,
Where does the nightmare begin or end?

The past isn’t past; it’s a room with no door,
A thousand dead versions of me on the floor.
They whisper, “Remember,” while tearing me apart,
Each one with my face, each one with my heart.

And somewhere between what is real and perceived,
I mourn all the things I was foolish to believe.
Delusional. Despairing. Distressed. Dispossessed.
A mind full of echoes that will never rest.

I’m distant from the world, but the darkness draws near-
Perhaps madness is hearing what silence won’t bear.
