Court room

by Beautiful Tragedy   Oct 23, 2026

I don’t have to answer his questions or negotiate reality with him-
He hasn’t been my husband in over two years.
And he can deploy every tactic in the book that he’d like to-
The only thing he will get from me is a bunch of poems to piece together,
He can pound his beers and try to figure out which statements are true or not,
By himself.
Nothing he claims we could be doing is anything i haven’t already been doing with someone else-
The only difference is I don’t get hit at the end of the night,
Or fall asleep next to a man who sleeps like he did after doing it.
I wonder if he needs a judge to tell him to shut up.
We can find out.
I don’t negotiate reality with grown men incapable of accepting the word no-
Boundaries are not an argument he can work his way around,
Silence is not something he can break simply because he stalks me hard enough to try.
I don’t have to answer his questions or negotiate reality with him-
This isn’t a courtroom but I can put him in one if he doesn’t stop harassing me.
