Nowhere to run

by Mild insomnia   Jul 28, 2004

I can’t explain it,
You won’t understand,
Gotta experience it first hand.
I am still trying,
Just to prove myself,
To you and everybody else.

No I’m not jumping,
For me it’s a fall,
And it’s one hell of a long way down,
To nothing at all.

I wanna run away,
I need to get out,
There’s nothing to say!
I wanna scream and shout!
One thousand dead-ends,
A maze of lies,
Can’t find my friends,
And I’m broken inside.

Feel so restricted,
Like I’m being held back,
And I’m slowly, slowly loosing track.
There’s nowhere to run,
No place left to hide,
And I’m crying deep inside.

Ref! Blow the whistle,
I can’t play anymore,
And yeah, god, the guy just won’t listen,
I’m running at a locked door.

I wanna run away,
I need to get out,
There’s nothing to say!
I wanna scream and shout!
One thousand dead-ends,
A maze of lies,
Can’t find my friends,
And I’m broken inside.

There’s nowhere to run,
And nowhere to cry,
There’s nowhere that’s fun,
And nowhere to die!
I can’t find my place,
I’m loosing my grip,
I’ve misplaced my faith,
And I’m starting to slip.

I wanna run away,
I need to get out,
There’s nothing to say!
I wanna scream and shout!
One thousand dead-ends,
A maze of lies,
Can’t find my friends,
And I’m broken inside.
