I Miss You Mom

by Amanda   Aug 4, 2004

You were everything that made my life.
You were my prize, my daddies wife
You were my mom, the best one at that
Now that you're gone my life is not apt.

I can't believe I was a bad child
I did some things, you'd call me wild
Now I've realized I've done wrong
I realized this after not so long

I love you more than words can say
I wish I could have just one more day.

You were so adroit, gifted and smart
You said everything straight from the heart.
And I knew this even before we part.

But God chose you
because you were a rose
You were the one he wanted to hold
You are the pretty cloud
to which one points
You are the flower
to which one chooses
And you are the beauty
that everyone looses

I miss you mom
The fact that you missed my prom
My marriage day
But, yet I'd have to say
I felt something there
A bundle of joy
A mass of strong light.

I can still feel you there
Your arms around mine
Your fingers running
through my hair
letting me know
that everything is okay
watching my moves everyday

Just because I can't see you
doesn't mean you're not there
I can still feel you
especially in my heart

Mom, you are my hero
You are my sun
I hope you watch over
until my life is done.

I love you mom
with all my heart
and I still do now
even more after we part.
