Emitted Metal

by Amanda   Jan 19, 2005

An ounce of metal
forming within tissue
stinging tissue
burning until it dies
stinging ounces of metal
streaming down a path way
hot burning cries.

A black feather falls to the ground
another heavy chunk does form
in the tissue
burning the tissue
soaking up lies
falling down fast
in every which direction
like buzzing flies

Feasting upon
heavy burning tears
my heart does not prepare
for all the worst of fears.

Heavy metal
crashing to the ground
such heavy tear drops
yet doesn't make a sound

One by one
a marching band of water
playing and playing
until it's too loud to bare.

one by one
falling down thrashing red cheeks
hiding in a saliva infested place
engraving marks of metal
with stains upon my face

glossy glares
upon burning red cheeks
and from where I do see
is where metal leaks

Metal...
so strong
painful inside not out
hushed organs
emitted from one with doubt

Metal...
so strong, yet no gushing blood
just stains and stains of metal
with tears of a flood

Tears...
one by one
rushing to create
engraved in metal
covered in slate.
