Sonnet Of Deciet

by Aken Sol   Aug 11, 2004

The first time I met you sparks seem to fly
I felt a connection between us two
We seem to fit well, no one could deny
That we flirted and did more than was due

So I went outside to get some fresh air
And overheard you talking about me
Saying mean things as if you didn’t care
Inside me there seemed to be a melee

You can‘t imagine how deep those words cut
Like a rock thrown that shattered my glass heart
And now I was in a bit of a rut
But deep down, I knew we had to part

I could’ve pretended nothing was wrong
But relationships like that don’t last long
