Painful questions

It has been a while,
it has been a few weeks,
but tears are still silently
streaming down my cheeks.

You ask me why we can't be friends,
I say it hurts too much,
how do you expect me to be around you
when I just want to feel your touch?

You say you still want to be my friend
more than anything else,
after all the pain you've put me through
how can you expect me to be myself?

You ask me why my feelings are so strong,
why it hurts like a stabbing knife,
how long will it take for you to realize
that you are my entire life?

You ask me why it hurts so much,
can't you see the marks on my arm?
Can't you see that because of you
I am causing myself harm?

You ask me why I'm doing it,
why I keep pushing you away,
Jody, it's because I still love you
more than any words could say.

You ask me why I love you so much,
and why I can't move on,
can't you see that without you here
everything is gone?

You ask me why I'm always sad,
and why I always cry,
it's because I love you to death,
for you I would even die.

You're always asking me why,
but I can't express it through words,
and you will never get the chance to know
how much this pain truly hurts.

    Wow... amazing. I'm kind of having the same kind of problem. well no that's not true. See, I'm totally in love with this guy... and we use to be in love but for some reason, he won't even talk to me now. But back to your poem. Amazing. Seriously brought tears to my eyes. Great job. Totally a 5. Keep up the good work.

    All these other comments are right, I have looked at several of your poems and I am very impressed. You are only 13 years old and you have so much talent. Keep writing, cause you have a future in this if you wanted it. By the way, don't worry about that guy in the poem. I know it hurts, I have been there, but one day you will realize that it was better that it happened this way. Great poem.
