Floating Free

by HOLLY ARMER   Aug 16, 2004

Misplaced feelings, floating free.
Feelings bouncing from her to me.

Your confused, which do you choose?
Either way, someone will lose?

If it's her, I'll understand.
It won't be the first time, I've lost this hand.

If you choose me, I only hope.
She can find a way to silently cope.

I sit with patience and wait for you to decide.
I don't want to persuade, so my true feelings I hide.

We've talked till there's nothing left to say.
I ask the final question and quickly pray.

You respond with confidence, so I know it's true.
You want to work things out between me and you.

My happiness overflows and my heart beats fast.
I know now, true love, really does last.
