A Walk In The Park

Forevers the day of when we last talked about chasing the life of my dreams
The pace I was running has slowed to a walk, in the park that is lit by moon beams

So brilliant and pure that it made my heart sore to such heights that I'd never quite fathom
The entire full spectrum of what I've been shown, so in awe, I could only stare at them

Silhouettes of past scenes from my birth through my teens, danced in the air, like a mist
I reminisced on the dreams, that I dreamt in the sky, of a life that I deemed to be endless

You taught me to dream on those bright lunar lights for what ever my heart most desired
Then I watched as my dreams began to take flight on the beams, in the park you inspired

Before I could speak on the spectacular feat of enchanting my dreams to take flight
I reached for those thoughts but I feared I'd be lost in a mare, on the moon, in the night

Unearthing emotions that triggered self doubt, is what hesitation had wrought
So I hopelessly stood there inclined not to budge, self defeated before I had fought

You whispered "Stay focused and don't be mislead by the demons of your own creation
They will haunt you and taunt you until you give up on fulfilling your life aspirations"

I heeded your warnings, dug deep inside, and found the Strength needed to toughen my Hyde
The Will to resist those tempestuous wraiths and the Courage to face the storms eye

Then dream one was captured and confidence sored till the hurdle's of two seemed to shrink
Determination ignited a fiery drive, that drove me to dreams on the brink

Proving I had what it took to take hold of the horns, of the bull that is life
It came slow but came sure, I caught dreams and much more, I found me minus worry and strife

Now the heart ache and strains of running for dreams is no longer a stressed burdened race
Its a testament to, what a body can do when a mind helps a soul attain grace

So, I'm back to say Thank You for all that you've done and the lessons you've helped me digest
Like taking the time for A Walk In The Park with a friend that had brought out my best
