Pipe Dreams

by Sean Allen   Aug 29, 2004

Paper thin candies strewn on the floor;
paper weight gumdrops glued to my door.
Discarded canisters suddenly bore
the mark of my sainted companion.

Pixy dust minutes scatter and fly.
Radiant symphonies sung for my eye,
those of the Combine, they weep and they cry,
for they know I am lost forever.

Blurring differences betwixt beauty and grime,
breaking down the barriers one at a time,
discarding the reason, living on with the rhyme;
transient thoughts are mine to mention.

Begging your pardon for my slight faux pas:
to this day I'm one step ahead of the law.
Using our jaw we gnaw and we saw
away at your broken foundation.

    Wow, this was a different write. Drugs huh? Well, at least we know you can write about almost anything. The 3rd line of the 2nd stanza seemed kind of long. But other than that, it was a great write.

    Haha, I thought it was cute, though I'm not sure if you meant for it to be cute or not. Yet I found it to be very adorable. Anyway it flowed good, along with the rythym of it.

  • WOW. Im truly amazed by you.
