Salty Madness

by Shædow Poet   Sep 22, 2004

Why are these crystals
Dripping down my face?
Why is this liquid
Spilling out of my eyes?

I'm lost in wonder
For what this sorrow means
There is nothing to weep for
Not a scarlet fear to be seen.

Then why am I being haunted
Forever by this sadness
Why am I sinking
In my own salty madness.

Envious others are
Of who I really am
Then why am I basking in
A flooding silver pool.

My eyes are turning red
Drying out those drops
My question is still lingering
For never it will stop.

So as I sit with streaming eyes
And droplets flying around
And I ask myself yet once more
Why are these tears, falling down?

:) that was one neat poem, very emotional, love the words, and the emotion that was brought across. This is a poem from the heart... :( sad... but a great piece of work. Keep up with the good work :)
