Dirty Dan McGuire

Dirty Dan McGuire
By Mark Spencer

The terror of the old west
Was Dirty Dan McGuire.
With a six gun he was the best,
Like lightning he could fire.

No one dared to cross his path,
The thought made people shudder.
'Cause Dirty Dan hadn't had a bath
Since the day he shot his mother.

One day there came a gunman
With a custom forty-four.
Folks said it was Dirty Dan
That he came gunning for.

It wasn't long before they met
Out on that street of mud,
A bounty hunter from the east
And an outlaw caked with crud.

Dan reached for his six gun
As the gunman fell down dead.
Not a single shot was fired
Is what a witness said.

The doctor found out soon enough
What really killed this man.
The feller made one fatal mistake,
He stood down wind of dirty Dan.

The End.
