Jesus And Michael

Jesus And Michael
By Mark Spencer

A little boy knelt by a grave,
With teardrops in his eyes.
He whispered a little prayer,
And only Jesus heard his cries.

His mother died a year before,
And left his dad and he alone.
Depending on each other,
Just to make it on their own.

A voice said Michael, don't you cry.
Your mother is here with me.
She's looking down from Heaven.
Her love will last eternally.

Michael said, Jesus is it so?
Is my mommy there with you?
Is she watching over me?
The voice said, yes its true.

Michael's father loved his mother,
More than words could say.
And it hurt watching helplessly,
As his dad wasted away.

The angels came and took him,
Leaving Michael all alone.
A broken hearted orphan boy,
Kneeling by his fathers stone.

A voice said Michael, don't you cry.
Your mom and dad are here with me.
looking down on you from Heaven.
Their love will last eternally.

Michael said, Jesus is it so?
Are my mom and dad with you?
Do they watch over me?
The voice said, yes they do.

Michael grew to be a man,
He lived a long and happy life.
With children of his own,
And a faithful, loving wife.

Then one day Jesus came,
And took him by the hand.
He said, follow me, my son,
I'll lead you to the promised land.

Then He said, Michael, don't you fear.
You will always be with me.
We'll be together in Heaven.
Where love lasts eternally.

Michael said, Jesus is it so?
Will I always be with you?
Is my family also there?
The Lord said, yes its true.

End.
