Angels Of The Lord

Angels Of The Lord
By Mark R. Spencer

Listen and hear a tale,
A story yet untold.
Of a war waged from Heaven
By the Angels of the Lord.

A terrible ancient evil
Had risen from the fold.
Sending out into the world
A vile hell spawned horde.

A trumpet blew in Heaven,
Ringing the call to arms.
To meet this hellish onslaught
With the fury of the sword.

A messenger came to the fold
And sounded the alarm.
This battle was to be their last
With the Angels of the Lord.

Ebony engulfed the sky,
Temples sank into the mud.
As the beast rose from the sea,
With the fires of hell it roared.

Cities crumbled 'neath its heel,
And the seas ran red with blood.
As they waged their final battle
With the Angels of the Lord.

Hear these words my children,
Came the voice of the Lamb.
I shall lead you to the garden,
Far from this fiery horde.

There you will find peace,
If you know who I am.
And witness the final victory
Of the Angels of the Lord.

End.
