To My Hero

You made me believe in myself even when no one else did,
you made me want to jump on that stage and do my first gig,
you made me pick up a guitar and play,
And write songs when I just couldn’t say what I wanted to say.

you changed my life with just a couple of songs,
you made me realize that when some one said I couldn’t do it they were wrong,
you saved my life just by being you ,
and by doing what you do.

I wouldn’t be able to stand here today,
and say what I've been wanting to say,
I would have taken my own life,
If it wasn’t for you that night.

You made me believe in my dreams,
Even though a lot of the time they seem,
So far away,
And sometimes they feel like they will never come true one day.

But thanks to you I know if I work hard enough and believe,
I will one day succeed,
and it’s all because of you,
that I know my dream will come true.

you have done so much for me,
And I hope one day you will understand and see,
How much you have done for me,
Now I am me and everything I have ever wanted to be.

you made me see,
I can only be me ,
and that’s all I can be.

Thanks for everything you have done without you I would have never made it through it all,
You and your music were always there to catch me when I was about to fall.
